Retreat:
The Purpose

One of the core objectives of our retreat is to empower our participants with profound clarity about the Self, the World, and their experience of Life. This is vital because the inner narratives that one holds, shapes their reality, influencing the way life unfolds through events and situations. Thus, one’s inner story becomes the blueprint for their outer life.

Under the guidance of Nithyaji, this journey combines self-inquiry with the timeless wisdom of the Rishis, unraveling the mysteries of existence and weaving the profound essence of Adhyayan—the art of inquiry & learning—into your life.

This equips participants to discover the best version of themselves and harness their energy towards abundance, success and social harmony.

When this inner space is accessed, a deeper resonance blooms, unveiling the true Tattva of life. An effortless intention arises therefrom, guiding one to a path and practice that brings exuberance to life processes.

Participants return to the world with a powerful practice of Self-Inquiry, supported by Shravanam, Mananam, Niddhidhysana (S-M-N) that deepen and enhance their experiences of life in the world.

The biggest takeaway of this retreat is aligning one’s Life Energies to one’s Being.

Harmonious Living

In order to structure a lifestyle that fosters spiritual unfoldment, it is imperative that we have a better understanding of all levels of our human existence.

Attending the basic programs of Aayush and Spandana form the base upon which we dive deeper into self-exploration.

There are Pancha Koshas or 5 layers to our human existence, according to Darshan shastras of Bharata.

1. Annamaya Kośa (the Food Sheath)

In the gross physical body, it is composed of the elements of the physical world. Made of food, it will go back into the food cycle after death.

2. Prāṇamaya Kośa (Vital Sheath)

In the subtle body, composed of the five vital energies: prāṇa, apāna, samāna, udāna, vyana, plus the five organs of action (karma indriyas): mouth, hands, feet, anus and genitals. It experiences hunger, thirst, heat, and cold.

3. Manomaya Kośa (Mental Sheath)

In the subtle body, its workings are thinking, doubting, anger, lust, exhilaration, depression, delusion. It constituents are:

  • Manas (mind) : thinks and doubts

  • Citta (Sub-concious) : Storehouse of memories

  • Jnana indriyas (sense organs or organs of knowledge) - eyes (sight), ears (sound),nose (smell), tongue (taste), and skin (touch).

4. Vijn̄anamaya Kośa (intellectual Sheath)

In the subtle body, it consists of the Buddhi (intellect) which analyses and determines the true nature of any object and ahankara (ego) the self-assertive principle, working with the five organs of knowledge. Discrimination and decision-making are its functions.

5. Anandamaya Kośa (Blissful Sheath)

In the casual body, it experiences bliss, joy, calmness and peace.

The real self is not any of these bodies. Each sheath may be purified and thus transcended to realize one’s true SELF or BEING.

I could see a significant change in my professional life— it helped me have clarity and become more expressive, confident. Be it enduring a difficult phase or navigating a diplomatic conversation or everyday life, the programs, satsangs and yatras with Nithyaji have been of immense value to me.
More importantly, it is really incredible to get to know the absolute authority of our Vedas and scriptures on any subject. Concepts which have been dismissed as non-scientific, are now more real and inclusive in all parts of our life, with guidance from Nithyaji.
It is very rare and difficult to imagine how Nithyaji not only offers insights but also integrates the wisdom of Bharata across various subjects (sciences, geometry, leadership, architecture, astrology, parenting) and scriptures, in the most applicable way.
Her life inspires us to realize our best version and express our highest potential in countless ways. Am ever grateful to the Parampara.
